History

The A2 was PDGA-approved on December 15, 2015 under certification number 15-69.[2] It is part of Prodigy's numbered approach line (the 'A' series), where the A1 is the most overstable and the A2 sits just under it as a slightly less stable, higher-glide sibling.[1] Prodigy Disc, founded in Georgia in 2013, built its catalog around a systematic naming convention in which the disc class letter is paired with digits describing speed and stability, and the A2's designation encodes its 4 / 2 / 0 / 4 flight.[1][2] The disc has remained a staple of Prodigy's approach lineup and is produced across the company's 300, 350G, 400, and 500 plastic families.[1] PDGA records list a maximum weight of 174.3g with a 21.0cm diameter and a 1.4cm rim.[2]
