The Discraft Avenger SS is a 10/5/-3/1 very understable distance driver — the Super Straight variant of the original Avenger.[1] Discraft markets it as a 'distance driver for the rest of us,' combining long glide, easy control, and a smooth, gentle finish.[1] With -3 turn, the Avenger SS is a forgiving distance option for developing players and a dedicated turnover and roller tool for advanced throwers.

History

The Avenger SS was PDGA approved on February 21, 2008, with certification number 08-04.[3] The original Avenger, a more stable mold, helped Nate Doss win the 2005 Pro World Championships, and Discraft introduced the Super Straight ('SS') variant to capture the more glidy, understable distance market.[2] The Avenger SS quickly became more popular than its parent mold and has remained a staple beginner-friendly distance driver.[2]
