History

The Colt was PDGA-approved on May 28, 2015 (certification 15-52).[3] It is a VTech-era design released to bridge Innova's XD and Classic Roc putt-and-approach molds; according to IsaacSam, after the Colt's release Innova stopped making XDs and Classic Rocs because it viewed the Colt as too similar.[1] IsaacSam reports the Colt became a popular throwing putter — comparable to a Whale or Dart — and lists Holly Finley and Nathan Queen among pros who have bagged it.[1] He personally observes that Classic Rocs hold their stability longer, while Colts tend to turn understable as they beat in.[1] The disc remains in production in Star, GStar, XT, and DX plastics.[2]
