The Dynamic Discs Warden is a 2-speed stable putt & approach. With published flight numbers of 2 / 4 / 0 / 1, it is most often described as suited for straight putts inside circle one, jump putts and circle-two attempts that need glide.

Overview

The Dynamic Discs Warden is the brand's beadless putt-and-approach disc — officially listed by Dynamic Discs with 2 / 4 / 0 / 0.5 flight numbers (rendered here as 2 / 4 / 0 / 1 on the integer scale).[1] Dynamic Discs describes it as having 'an extremely smooth release and neutral flight' that 'will come out of your hand easily and fly dead straight to the chains,' and notes it has more glide than its bead-rimmed sibling, the Judge.[1] Reviewers consistently frame the Warden as the Trilogy answer to the beadless Aviar — a comparable feel and flight in a softer, modern blend.[2][3]

Flight numbers describe the published behavior of the disc when thrown at its design speed. Real-world flight varies with plastic, weight, age, and thrower power. The community-averaged numbers above reflect crowd-sourced observations from real throws — typically slightly more understable than the manufacturer's published values, which is the most consistent pattern across nearly every commercial mold.

The Warden is at its best on straight circle-one putts, jump putts that need extra glide, touch parking approaches, and shorter straight drives where a low-fade putter is the right tool.[1][2] Classic Soft is the gummy putting blend most players reach for inside the circle; Classic is the firmer baseline plastic with more durability for approaches; Prime is the grippy, more affordable baseline run.[1] Premium runs (Lucid, Fuzion) are produced as well for players who want a more durable driving putter.[1]

Best for:

  • Straight putts inside circle one
  • Jump putts and circle-two attempts that need glide
  • Touch upshots and parking approaches
  • Beadless-grip putting style (alternative to a beadless Aviar)
  • Lower-power straight drives off the tee for shorter holes

Plastics & variants

The Warden is available in the following plastic blends from Dynamic Discs:[1]

Classic Soft, Classic, Prime, Prime Burst, Lucid, Fuzion

Plastic blend significantly affects flight character. Premium plastics like Champion, Z, or C-Line generally fly more overstable when fresh and hold their stability over time. Base plastics like DX, Pro, or Active beat in faster and become more understable workhorses with use.

History

The Warden was PDGA-approved on October 14, 2013 and was one of the first putt-and-approach molds released by Dynamic Discs as a follow-up to the Judge — Dynamic Discs' 2013 Disc of the Year.[1] Dynamic Discs framed the release as 'to bead or not to bead' — the Warden is the beadless answer to the beaded Judge, sharing the same role in the bag for players who prefer a beadless rim feel.[1] It has remained a continuous presence in Dynamic Discs' putter lineup and is one of the brand's most enduring molds. Dynamic Discs is part of the Trilogy group alongside Latitude 64 and Westside.
