The Streamline Pilot is a 2-speed stable putt & approach. With published flight numbers of 2 / 5 / 0 / 1, it is most often described as suited for straight circle putts with a reliable late fade, dead-straight throwing-putter approaches.

Overview

The Streamline Pilot is a beaded, straight-flying putt-and-approach disc with a 2/5/0/1 flight and high glide.[1][3] Built on MVP's GYRO technology, it pairs a medium-depth grip, a small bead, a flat top, and a rounded nose for a clean, confident release.[1] The neutral high-speed stability and smooth, mild fade make it a true point-and-shoot putter that goes where it's aimed, whether putting inside the circle or throwing approaches.[3][4]

Flight numbers describe the published behavior of the disc when thrown at its design speed. Real-world flight varies with plastic, weight, age, and thrower power. The community-averaged numbers above reflect crowd-sourced observations from real throws — typically slightly more understable than the manufacturer's published values, which is the most consistent pattern across nearly every commercial mold.

The Pilot doubles as a primary putter and a throwing putter.[1][4] Its high glide carries straight approaches and short tee shots to the pin, while the small bead and reliable late fade keep it predictable on circle putts and in light wind.[3] Players wanting one disc for confident putting and dead-straight upshots will find it versatile, and its depth sits comfortably between the MVP Atom and Anode.[1]

Best for:

  • Straight circle putts with a reliable late fade
  • Dead-straight throwing-putter approaches
  • Short, controlled tee shots
  • Light-wind putting and upshots

Plastics & variants

The Pilot is available in the following plastic blends from Streamline:[1]

Electron, Neutron, Proton, Eclipse

Plastic blend significantly affects flight character. Premium plastics like Champion, Z, or C-Line generally fly more overstable when fresh and hold their stability over time. Base plastics like DX, Pro, or Active beat in faster and become more understable workhorses with use.

History

Streamline+Discs">Streamline Discs is the driver-and-distance sister brand within the MVP Disc Sports network, and the Pilot was among its early putt-and-approach releases, PDGA approved on February 22, 2017 (certification 17-16).[2] Positioned as a beaded straight putter, it gives Streamline throwers a profile in between MVP's Atom and Anode, with a flight most often compared to a seasoned Anode.[1] It is produced in Streamline's Electron base plastic plus the more durable Neutron and Proton premium blends and glow Eclipse runs, the same plastic families used across the MVP network.[1][4]
